Jessica Barry is an award-winning educator, administrator, and creative director. She graduated from The Modern College of Design and earned a BA in management from Antioch University Midwest. Jessica has been serving as the president of The Modern since 2007.
The American Advertising Federation-Dayton recognized Jessica as the Educator of the Year, and GDUSA magazine named her an Educator to Watch in 2018. Furthermore, in 2018, the Dayton Business Journal honored The Modern College of Design as the Woman-Owned Business of the Year and the Business of the Year.
Jessica was a primary negotiator on the U.S. Department of Education's 2017–18 Gainful Employment and 2021 Loans and Affordability Negotiated Rulemaking Committees. She also serves as a trustee for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the education committee at the Dayton Art Institute.
