Maryann Brathwaite is a dedicated advocate for Washington’s private career colleges and schools, committed to advancing the sector and supporting student success. As the Executive Director of the Northwest Career Colleges Federation, she proudly represents hundreds of member institutions, their leadership, faculty, and the thousands of students they serve.

In her role, Maryann will continue to serve as Executive Director of NWCCF while expanding her leadership to support seven additional states within the Alliance for Career Education in the States (ACES), which now represents 30 states nationwide.

With a distinguished background that includes service in the U.S. Army as a finance specialist and over two decades of leadership experience in career education, Maryann brings a wealth of expertise in government affairs, member engagement, professional development, and strategic planning. She excels at identifying needs, fostering connections, and delivering innovative solutions to strengthen career education institutions and their communities.

Passionate about workforce development, Maryann champions career education as a vital driver of the region’s economy. She is committed to ensuring that graduates enter the job market equipped with valuable skills, education, and training—empowering them to succeed in their chosen professions.

In addition to her leadership role, Maryann is a certified instructor specializing in Mental Health First Aid, QPR Gatekeeper Training, and Achieving Balanced Wellbeing training.
